Eureka nears funding goal

Funding for Eureka! Mersey, the 30,000 sq ft science and discovery centre aimed at young people and families on the site of the former Mersey Ferries’ Seacombe terminal has come from the Government’s Inspiring Science Fund, which provided £3m. Funding has also come through Wirral Council and the Liverpool City Region Combined Authority, which contributed just over £7m.

The remaining funds are to be raised through grants and donations between now and the targeted 2022 opening date.
