Galliford Try appointed on Bevan Intermediate Care Unit

Salford City Council has appointed Galliford Try to construct the 2 storey 60 bed Bevan Intermediate Care unit on the site of the Stott Lane car park, beside Salford Royal Hospital.

Following a single stage competitive tender process Galliford Try was chosen to deliver the scheme through the Procure Partnerships North West Framework.

The 23,600 sq ft building designed by DAY Architectural (DAY architectural is appointed to the Procure Partnerships Framework Professional Services Agreement) will provide a mix of single bedrooms and 4-bed bay rooms to provide intermediate care for patients. The building will also include facilities for staff, catering, occupational therapy space, a gym, and also a day room.

Salford Royal NHS Foundation Trust will lease the 60-bedroom building from client Salford City Council for £595,000 a year for 25 years.
